PORTRAITS on the WALL

When ever I visit my parents I see a portrait of my Grandparents up on their wall and remember them and the time I got to spend with them when I was young.  I only got to visit them a few times when I was young, and those images remind me so much of how they were.  Their tiny home in the background, their simple and humble meals, and even how my Grandmother scolded my Grandfather for... well, almost everything, but in a way that everyone, including him, smiled over.

When I visit my aunt's home I see a portrait hanging on the wall of my cousins when they were very young - they look like little dolls!  They are both in their 30s now and when I see that picture I can clearly picture them when the were young.  Their smiles, their giggles and even how I almost dropped one of them once!

What do these 2 things have in common? They are portraits. Portraits that were carefully planned and thought out and given the love and attention they deserved because someone knew they'd be around for years to come and trigger memories that would be cherished by loved ones.

Portraits don't only have to be of our children or our elderly parents, they can and should be of all of us, both together and individually.  Time passes by all to fast and someday you will wish you had captured your children, family, parents, pets or yourself to be able to look back on and cherish that time in their or your life.

Don't keep putting it off ... don't make excuses as to why you can't or don't need to... you can and should do it now!!
