Whether you would like to celebrate a life milestone, exist in photographs for loved ones, boost your self-confidence, or just want to sit back and relax while you enjoy some time focused on you, this is the time to do it! Your Halifax Beauty Portraits will be a memorable experience.   Below is a summary of What to Expect at your session.

 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT at a PORTRAIT SESSION:

CONSULTATION: Depending on the type of session you choose to have (and the associated packages you plan to purchase), the first step will be for us to either meet in person or over the phone and have a consultation where we will discuss how you want to be photographed and what to expect at the session as well as investment options. We will plan the photoshoot that you want.  You can bring several outfits to your photoshoot and if we are meeting in person I can help you choose the outfits.

PREPERATION: A week or two prior to your photoshoot schedule some time for yourself to prepare.  Schedule a manicure the day before your session, make an appointment with a hair stylist or salon to touch up your hair cut or color if needed.  These little touches will make a big difference in your final images and also make you feel more camera ready for your session.  Gather your wardrobe items or go shopping for something new. Iron your outfits the night before your session and bring with you to the session on hangers.

PHOTOSHOOT: The day of the session, you will arrive at the photoshoot with clean dry hair and no makeup on.  Dry skin can really distract from a great photo, so please moisturize your skin and lips before arriving at the photo shoot.  Be mindful of tan lines as removing them is not included in basic retouching. You will be pampered and have your makeup applied and hair styled by a professional stylist.  Once ready, you will choose what to wear and we can help you make your choices.  I will then guide you through various poses as I take the pictures.  Don’t worry if you aren’t ‘photogenic’ or ‘don’t know what to do’ that is what I am there for. 

REVEAL: 3-4 weeks after your session your images will be ready.  We will meet in person and you will have the opportunity to look at images from your session.  At this time you can purchase the ones you love!
